For the foreseeable future, I’ll be working from home due to the pandemic. This post will be updated daily (rather than having new blog posts daily) to help track my productivity.

  • Finalized my iConference 2020 recorded presentation (PowerPoint) and shared it with my contact for the online paper session (Dropbox).

2020-03-26

  • Attended several iConference 2020 paper sessions (Zoom).
  • Watched my own recorded session and answered live questions (Zoom).
  • Attended the IMLS Grant Team meeting (Zoom).

2020-03-27

  • Revised and edited IMLS long journal paper (Google Docs).

2020-03-28

  • Revised and edited IMLS long journal paper (Google Docs).

2020-03-29

  • Revised and edited IMLS long journal paper (Google Docs). Passed the potato.
  • Reviewed existing IRB application for use with dissertation: I’ll need to start with a new IRB application.
  • Light TA course prep. Class starts 2020-03-31.

2020-03-30

  • Reviewed student assignments for research methods class prior to start of quarter.
  • ZIPLINE form parts 1-4 for dissertation projec.
  • Work: Applied for iSchool position.

2020-03-31

  • TA Assignment: Week 1 Class 1.
  • SEM Class: Week 1 Class 1.
  • ZIPLINE form parts 5-8.

  • IMLS Grant Team: Weekly meeting (Zoom)
  • AMCIS peer review: Correspond w/ track chair and start reading submission.

2020-04-02

  • TA Assignment: Week 1 Class 2.
  • SEM Class: Week 1 Class 2 canceled in favor of videos and reading. Videos didn’t get posted today, though.
  • AMCIS peer review: Slow read of submission.

2020-04-03

  • SEM Class: Watched the videos that showed up today.
  • Jinha’s /r/bangtan scrape: Worked out the basics in Python based on some sample scripts I found online.
  • AMCIS peer review: Wrote review.

2020-04-04

  • Nothing.

  • Jinha’s /r/bangtan scrape: More development work.
  • TA Assignment: Began fixing Canvas dates and descriptions.

2020-04-06

  • Jinha’s /r/bangtan scrape: Got agreement on initial scrape scope; more development.
  • TA Assignment: Weekly prep meeting; more fixes to Canvas dates and descriptions.
  • SEM Class: Reading assignments.

2020-04-07

  • Jinha’s /r/bangtan scrape: Figured out how to remove 100-item limit on search, re-ran scrape, sent results.
  • TA Assignment: Week 2 Class 1; grading of Group Assignment 1.

2020-04-08

  • IMLS Grant Team: Group meeting and writing.
  • Jinha’s /r/bangtan scrape: Figured out how to loop through several search terms, producing a results document for each. More work needs to be done to figure out exactly how their search function works so it can be optimized for the needs of the research.
  • TA Assignment: Group Assignment 1 feedback posted and grades released.
  • SEM Class: Watched videos that showed up today.

  • SEM Class: Reading, R practice, Class (Zoom)
  • Work: Applied for iSchool position.

  • SEM Class: Watched some of new video lecture. Tried to work on parallel parts of homework using R and rmarkdown.

  • SEM Class: More video lecture and homework.

  • GAMER Group: Online lunch meeting.
  • AMCIS 2020 Paper: Online team revision planning and writing.
  • SEM Class: A synchronous class session, plus videos and homework.

  • DSA: Officer meeting.
  • iSchool: Allyson Carlyle online memorial.
  • AMCIS 2020 Paper: Revisions.

  • AMCIS 2020 Paper: Minor work.
  • SEM Class: Re-watched lectures (wk 1-2), re-read parts of book in pursuit of homework.
  • Funding: Reviewed requirements for PMI thesis grant.

I fell out of the habit for personal reasons. I’m going to re-start in a new post for Summer Quarter.
