I’m teaching Front-End Web Development. The first assignment involves making a small Web page about a fictional character you admire. When I worked through the problem myself (I inherited the course from another lecturer) I used Henry Standing Bear (we’ve been working our way through Longmire here at home, and he came to mind quickly). Turns out none of my students know the character so far. So, Longmire gets added to the pile of unhelpful media references I’ve made in class.
